1993 Bonneville Won't Start- Code 18 & 41

I am on the road at the moment but will post more as soon as I can. Well here is the basics. Vehicle wouldn't start and came up with the code for the crankshft sensor. Replaced sensor(no start) and then inspected plug. Under the tape the wires had melted together. Replaced the plug and vehicle started and ran good for about a week. Pulled the harmonic balancer and inspected everything, replaced crankshaft sensor(no start). Checked computer codes and came up with code 18 & 41. Replaced camshaft sensor and ignition module(no start). Started checking wires for signals and the first few didn't check out right. Inspected wiring from the sensors to the module for a short. Took the alternator off and cut the tape to the wires from the module to the firewall. Under the alternator, I found the wires where they run from the sensors, the module and the computer had melted together. Replaced the harness but it still wouldn't start. My biggest question is if where they melted together with the wire that carries 5 volts, could that have burned the sensors, module, computer or something else. This is to help a nice lady out and any information, ideas or help will be greatly appreciated. I'll reply to all post and will add more soon.

The PCM/ECM should have a fuse to protect it. Have you checked the fuse? In addition, be sure to check the pink wire on the ICM connector for 12v with ignition switch in the ON position. Here is a typical schematic of the ICM-PCM & ignition wiring.
