Minor Electrical Quest.

When the vehical is sitting the pwr volt meter like to flucuate from 14 to almost the red zone on not enough pwr. what do you think may cause this?? maybe a alt going bad??? new battery or think that might be goin bad also or maybe just need to go bigger??

Have the battery, cable connections and loaded alternator output tested, normal diagnsotic steps for this problem.

I would confirm the guage on the dash is correct first, then do what maxwedge said.
