Unhappy 280ZX engine trouble

CAR: 1982 Datsun 280ZX non-turbo 5 speed manual

The engine starts fine and idles fine but as soon as I touch the accelerator it sputters and goes up the rpm's also the spark plugs are black on the tips. Like they have been charred. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Travis

Re: 280ZX engine trouble

CHTS? The charred look is probably carbon from a rich condition...
The "Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor" could cause this. So could the "fuel pressure regulator", amongst other things.. But the chts is a common one..

Good luck
