1998 silverado brkes to the floor?

i have replaced almost every thing in the brake system,still no brakes,bled very well,any ideas?

sounds like you have a leak in your brake lines. Have you inpsected them?

yes ,no leaks,this was the prob,beforethats why i replaced all that stuff,not down on fluid thanks

I'm thinking the master cylinder was at fault originally and if the new one was not properly bench bled it could still be at fault or the rear brakes shoes are not properly adjusted.

That trader!!!

I would agree with you, accept for the rear brakes. I do not think the rear brakes would cause the brake pedal to go to the floor.

Did you ever figure this out? I also have a '98 Sily with horrible brake pedal. I have even had the ABS unit bled by a dealer and the pedal is still rather soft. Very disappointing..................

booster could be bad is the big vacumn hose going over to it from the intake no holes in it.
