battery draining 1995 gmc jimmy sls

hi i have this jimmy just bought it first of all it was working fine for 5 days no problem then all of a sudden one moring it just would not start no power to anything . I then tried to chartge it but it would not take the charge. so i boosted it with another vehical i had but it did start then i charged it and it took the charge and worked all day. a day later when i tried to start it again it would not start again with no power to nothing in the truck it seems as if somehitng is draining the battery i need some help it also has a sectiy system and it was having some problems i would switch it off and on and the red light would not change i heard somewhere if it is off it can drain battery

FOR FREE...,auto zone will test your alternator and battery. i'd start there.

hi there ,just wanted to tell ya i had the same problem with a 94 yukon ,took it in and had it put on the comp , they found that my auto start had a bad relay it was draining my battery , hope this helps a little i know this can be a real headache trying to figure it out ,
