If you're talking about the Bose 6-disc in-dash changer then I know exactly what you're talking about. To be blunt, IMO that head unit is a piece of junk. I'm currently waiting for a replacement unit to arrive for my '02 Max. Not only does mine have a tendency to stop playing in the middle of a CD but it only plays out of the right speakers. In case you didn't know the head unit is made by Clarion and only the amp and speakers are Bose. I've had problems with Clarion products in the past so it really doesn't surprise me. Nissan has had plenty of problems with those particular head units but I'm not aware of a TSB for it. Anyway you might not have to leave your car overnight but if they decide to replace the unit (which can sometimes be hard to get them to do) you'll most likely have a long wait ahead of you. BTW. If you play burned CDs in your car, don't mention it. They'll use that as a convenient cause of your problem.

It's funny that you mention only playing out of the right speakers, cause mine has started doing that too. How did you get them to replace it for you? They told me it was an unidentified problem so they couldn't replace it.

Well at first they were just trying to replace one speaker. I argued with the service writer about it but that wasn't a help. I called 1-800-NISSAN1 and explained what was going on but there wasn't much that they could do to overide the dealership. Finally, I went up to the dealership and got the service tech to come out to the car with me. I explained the problem to him in detail. Sometimes the service writers don't convey the real nature of the problem to the techs. The best thing I can tell you is to talk to the person who is trying to diagnose the problem. It probably wouldn't hurt to head over to the forums at Freshalloy.com do a search for this type of problem, print out some of the posts and show them to the service folks. Hope this helps.
