Concord Help
I HAVE A 1998 CONCORD 2.7. WHEN I PLUG IN THE CAM SENSOR IT WILL NOT START. IF I UNPLUG THE CAM SENSOR IT WILL TURN OVER ABOUT 11 TIMES THAN START,BUT A 2800RPM IT IS LIKE THE REV LIMMITER COMES ON.TRIED 3 NEW CAM SENSOR ALL WERE THE SAME.WHAT WOULD BE THE PROBLEM?

Make sure you are not losing your 5v refference on the orange wire when it is plugged in.

I see that this post is from 2008. I am fairly certain that the cam sensor is either inserted too far or not far enough. Cam sensors on these dodge vehicles are very particular. I just worked on a caravan that was miss firing. I found it to be the cam sensor. Upon replacement, it would not start. After a lot of Hair Loss, I discovered that the cam sensor air gap needed to be fine tuned. I did this by pulling it up about an eigth of a inch. It started and ran poorly. Pushed the cam sensor back down about a 16th of an inch and it ran perfect and has run well ever since. I hope this will help other people that are searching for this same problem.
