1997 c3500 7.4 3500 hard start

I have a 1997 c3500 with a 7.4. The truck runs great and starts great if it has been sitting over night. The problem starting is after it has been run and shut off. It will start good if restarted with in 10 minutes or so. But if started after that it cranks way too long before firing. It has to set maybe 12 hours to start good. I checked the fuel pressure and it is good. This has been an on going problem sence I bought it 2 years ago. I used fuel injector cleaner in it and drove it on the interstate and the problem cleared up for a while. It has had remanufactured fuel injectors put in recently. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate some help.
Thanks.

Does the fuel pressure hold after the engine is turned off? A leaking fuel pressure regulator can cause hard starting due to the engine being flooded.

Do a search and you will see how common this problem is.

Ok. The next thing I would check is the engine coolant temp sensor. Using a scan tool, see what temp it is reporting when the engine is hard to start. The PCM uses this sensor value to know how much fuel it needs to start.

I could not borrow a scan tool today so I just bought a new sensor and installed it. Truck still does the same thing. Is there anything else I could try?
Thanks
