Seeking info on lower ball joint removal
Trying to remove a lower ball joint in '95 Lumina APV but the steps in my repair book aren't detailed enough. I've removed the pinch bolt and loosened the nuts at the stabilizer shaft bushing. When I pry, the ball joint starts to go downward but there's a springy tension from the control arm or stabilizer shaft that keeps the ball joint pressed upward. Do I need to loosen the two bolts at the other end of the control arm, or what? Any help appreciated.

Re: Seeking info on lower ball joint removal
Disconnect the stabilizer bar completely from the control arm, and use a long bar to pry downward on the lower control arm, it'll pull through. Sometimes it's a two person procedure to put back together if you can't get enough leverage to pry the arm and postion the steering knuckle back over the stud at the same time.....
