Re: Calibrate your '92 Compass
Good info for those who don't have an owners manual. Just remember that you must be facing north when setting it and that it uses magnetic north so the accuracy to true north will vary with the latituded you set it at and will vary with distance traveled away from the set point. On long trips i have noticed some variance but over all it comes in pretty handy.
My driveway just happens to point due north, not magnetic north, so it was pretty easy to set and most of the old farm grid roads around here run true north, south. |
