engine help

I have a 1994 Chevy Beretta and the other day son was driving it and think he blew the engine up very bad noise in the engine when running it has a 2.3 quad 4 engine need to know what can replace this either from another car what size any help would be great thank you

Your chances of finding a good 2.3 Quad-4 in any salvage yard are slim to none. That engine was a big-ol-turd, and catastrophic timing chain and head cracking failures were very common.

olds, pontiac, and chevrolet of the same years will work NOTHING else...
