Looking to buy VR4

Right now I am working on my 93 Talon TSi. A guy in town offered to sell me a 91 that is in pretty good shape...This car has no mods to it. I would use this car to drive around until the talon is done the they would trade spots in the garage and the stealth would take over. MY question is if mods on the 3000gt/stealth are as simple to work on and mod as my 4g63 in the talon...These are a twin turbo correct?

Re: Looking to buy VR4

^Yeah, the TT's are a bit cramped to work on. You might be a bit appalled when you go to buy some parts for the 3/s as they are not going to be near as cheap as a DSM.

Re: Looking to buy VR4

Yea I had assumed so...how are the stock turbo's that come on these guys...once again this is a 91...with the dsm's the turbo that comes on the 4g63 is a hell of a lot better than the one that comes on a 420a...are these things SMIC?? I have an extra FMIC from the talon

Re: Looking to buy VR4

The 9b's (stock turbos) are small and boost very fast with almost unoticable turbo lag. Bpu's can put you into 12's. If the 91 is actually bone stock, you can do a free boost upgrade that makes it jump from 300hp to 320hp and does not take long to do.

Re: Looking to buy VR4

yeah twin side mounts if you glance through the FAQ section it is actualy really good.. (better then the other forums sections)

the turbos are small small small.. haha but you can run 14 psi (drops at high RPM's)

Re: Looking to buy VR4

yes, our turbos do top out at ~15 psi, but it is a TT, and they're easily upgradible imo, simply a fuel pump, AFC, and Injectors, and it becomes slightly more limitless

Re: Looking to buy VR4

I will be sure to throw up some pics soon...be warned the driver side door WILL be replaced lol...but I do have to say that dark green is sexy...and the thing i like about the Stealth/3000gt besides the fact that its a more expensive and nicer car, is the fact that it appears to be longer. Which makes it seem alot lower and more racy.

Thanks again guys
