Nice. You can't. UNLESS... does your state have a specific law against how dark the tint can be? If you have something lighter than the legal limit, you can fight it. Other than that, you have to take it off.

I had a friend with a S10 with dark tints. He got pulled over all the time and kept getting tickets. They were like $20 or so each time. He never took them off. Paid all the tickets. Was getting about 4 a year IIRC.

In most states I have lived, you are required to remove the tint and submit to an inspection to make sure it is done. In GA they inspect at the GA state patrol or local pd of the ticket. In CA you have to go to the DMV. Eitherway they visually inspect the tint to make sure it was removed.

Or like David-B said, you just pay the ticket. Which in the great state of California is a point on your license if you pay it.

That's what I do. Screw fighting it, until it gets out of hand. What does it cost to tint all the windows in a car, between $150-300 depending on the vehicle? So you rip it off, and then put it back on later, there goes another $150-300. The way I see it, you could have had between 7-15 tickets to add up to the total job to re-do the windows, and how many tickets do you get a year, one, maybe two? That's at least 3.5 years of tickets before you've equaled the amount to redo the windows. I guess I don't know the exact laws in your state, nor the amount of the fine, but I'm assuming it can't be much. Pay the fine and be on your way.

My home boy got a $175 (or it might have been $150 im not sure)ticket for tint. Just that one ticket cost that much. But he took it off so he didn't have to pay it.

Fuckin A dude, man up. Whether you or any of us agree with the tint laws, they are there and if you get a ticket you either gotta pay it or take the shit off. Not that hard.

Remove it if its an illegal tint. Put the legal amount of tint on. Most the people I know with illegal tint when "cruising" around town of if they spot a cop they will put their windows down all the way so the window tint doesn't become a problem. It will be 30 degrees on a December night and you will still see people rolling around with their windows down.
