The wobbly shifter
How many of you have a 99-03 cavalier and have this wobbly manual shifter problem? And you know which one i am talking about...the wobble that does damn close to an inch in every direction. I work at advance auto and called every damn second source they know of and the only word i got to fix the wobbly shifter was to buy the whole mounting unit for the shifter, for $140 bucks and i am cheap and said f(#* no. i will deal with the wobble. so...any feedback?

Re: The wobbly shifter
I know this is gonna sound funky.... I had similar problems in my 92 Z24, the bushings in the actual shifter had wallowed out... I got an assorted pack of plastic windshield wiper motor/arm bushings and mixed and matched to replace the bushings, Shifter is now as notchy/notchier than when new..... Whether the 92s shifter is similar / the same to yours I do not know... just my .02 worth.....
