Question replacing water pump housing in 98

I have a 98 voyager 3.3l. I had a coolant leak and when I traced it back, I discovered that the heater hose inlet on the top of the water pump housing was rusted so bad that when I touched it, it fell off. I have very limited knowledge of car (only the tips that I get from here make me any good) and need to know if it's something really difficult or something that somebody like me can do myself. Please advise.

Having a problem getting the gear wheel on the front of the engine off. I've gotten the bolt out, but the wheel doesn't want to budge.
