Re: rear disc brake lines

should be able to, I think most people just buy new teg lines tho, b/c usually if you can get it off an older car, it's been parked awhile, so the lines are most likely rotting, not to mention that I think you need a longer line to reach the caliper w/o binding.

Re: rear disc brake lines

Yes, the integra lines will work

I'm waiting to do the rear break swap. I have new brembo c/d and everything, but I cant get those freeking hex bolts loose to remove the integra hubs. Anyone have a solution?

Re: rear disc brake lines

Yes, you use the Teg lines. You can't use the stock lines can you? I thought the ones for the drums were screw in, while the caliper lines have a banjo end?

And what "Hex" bolts are you talking about? I remember some Torx bolts to take the hubs off, but you don't have to do that, just keep your control arms and toe adjustment arm, thats where the difference is between the Teg and civic arms. The Teg control arms are just slightly longer than the civics, so it will throw your alignment out. Now if you did get it off an older car and your trailing arm bushings are better, yea, go ahead and change out the hubs, that how I did it because of the bushings.

The torx bolts can be a PITA though. If you end up stripping them out, you can take a slightly undersized socket and try hammering it over the head of the bolt then hit it with an impact. Then ofcourse go over to a vise and beat the bolt out of your socket.

Unfortinatly I can't use the whole trailing arm assembly because one of the trailing arms is bent big time, They are off my friends car that got broadsided/totaled.

Yes, it's the Torx bolts I'm talking about... Those bastereds are in there hella tight, anyone that's done this swap knows the limited amount of room behind/inside the trailing arms. I was thinking about getting a socket tack welded onto the bolt... but theres no room to get in there.
I may have to break out the plasma cutter and cut off the metal cover piece

I also bought Integra trailing arm bushings, will these work in place of the stock civic ones?? (while still using the civic trailing arms)

Re: rear disc brake lines

Don't know on the trailing arm bushings.

Just grab a slightly undersized socket and hammer it on there, its how I get stripped out locking lugnuts off(or ones I don't have a key for)....and no, I don't go around stealing wheels That is all the kits are for removing locking lugnuts anyway.

Those bolts have to be hit just right with the torx to get them off, took me a little while to get mine done.

Re: rear disc brake lines

I recommend that all of you who have ever hammered a socket onto anything to get it off...

Go to Sears

Buy a Craftsman "Bolt Out Kit". They're amazing tools, and only about $15... saves the hammering.

BTW, if you have the equip, another way to get a allen screw (torx too) out after it's rounded, is to tap it w/ a right hand thread, then screw a right handed short bolt into it... they're pretty easy at that point.

Re: rear disc brake lines

I just use the whole idea behind the locking lugnut kits....thats EXACTLY what those kits are. Hasn't failed me yet...ofcourse now I don't have a damn vise around...I need a garage.
