Michael Vick is finished...

The future looks worse every day for this jackass, and I think only a small act of God or a huge judicial hiccup can keep him out of prison now. The feds don't screw around once they've got their sights set on someone, and if one of his co-defendants has plead guilty and is about to spill his guts, his image and money can only protect him for so long. There is no settling out of court here to allow his money bail him out like it does other lesser offenders, and public opinion on this has been almost completely one-sided so it's not going away in anyone's eyes. I honestly think he's going to be incarcerated in the not so distant future, where and for how long are the only questions. Afterward, no NFL team will want him because of the negative attention he will bring. Nobody will get anywhere near him with new endorsements, and the ones he currently has who have not bailed out already soon will. Fan base is crushed to a fraction of its former glory. Anybody holding onto the faith and disagree?

Of course being that he's innocent until proven guilty and we're pretty much all forming our opinions based on what ESPN and all the rest tell us anything can still happen, but the outlook is unusually bad for a legal infraction involving a high profile athlete.

What an idiot though if this is true... Heartless, senseless fvcking idiot...

Re: Michael Vick is finished...

Michael Smith made a good point the other day when he said he questions the validity of the testimony from Vick's codefendants who are from 'unsavory' backgrounds and willing to sell their friend up the river to cut a deal for themselves. Although I don't buy that Vick was completely ignorant to the happenings of his VA home I'm not 100% sure that I trust the stories of guys looking to remove themselves from hot water.

Obviously they aren't trustworthy people, but considering the alternatives they face, I don't see why they wouldn't cooperate with authorities.

Re: Michael Vick is finished...

Considering that the guy might hold a little bit of a grudge against Vick it does add an extra dimension to it because he now has an incentive to lie. And if he can get himself a reduced sentence along with that bit of revenge, all the better for him. I'm sure this will be a big issue in the courtroom, so there is going to have to be some pretty good evidence to back it up. The guy supposedly has documents to support his claims, and I'm sure there will be plenty of other investigation in Vick's finances.

He was indicted before anybody turned on him, which pretty much means the authorities already thought they had enough to convict him on their own. The plane was already going down, the traitor friend is just steering it toward the mountain.

Too bad cuz he's the only quarterback in the NFL that can really run the ball.
