Ok, this question might seem stupid, but I don't want to screw anything up. Anyways, I am installing some neons under my seats. I want to splice into my 12v (ciggarette lighter) adapter wires. There is a yellow one and a black one (wires). First guess that black is ground... and yellow is hot. Am I right? Also, where is a good place I can install my ground... Thanks!

yes, black will be you ground almost 99.9% of the time. And the best place to ground the thing off is on the car's chasis. Find a bolt that is screwed into the frame and unscrew it. Then wire your ground to that bolt so that it touches the bare (without paint) frame. You could probably find something like this by pulling up a little bit of your carpet of with the bolts on your seats.

you can also splice them into your parking lights, that way they will only be on at night when you can see them anyway. this is good if you don't want to wire a switch to em. they won't be on during the day, and only at night, that's what i did, but i have blue so i wired up a switch later after i got pulled over. blue and red is illegal in ca. this was for my underbody though.
