Audi R10 TDI - Request for photos
Hi guys,
I have just received Revell's Audi R10, and it seems a good kit. Plastic is quite good, and decals excellent. Have any of you got any photos of the car to share, especialy the interior and engine?, as my modelling mind tells me to proceed to a detailed kit, not just an OOB one! Thanks & regards Alan |

The ones I posted in that thread are specifically for the engine wiring. I've got a few more medium to high res pics of the car in general that I found on various sites on the innynet so if you need anything else, let me know.

Re: Audi R10 TDI - Request for photos
Not sure what you guys think, but for a 5.5 litre v12 the kit engine seems to be a bit out of scale. The pictures of the engine and gearbox provided in the forum are great references. The engine block appears to be a bit too short as it should extend to the fire wall. Otherwise there is nothing for front of the cylinder heads to attach too. The valve covers also appear to be too wide for the length.
The kit gear box also appears to have a lot of surface ribbing that is not on the real gearbox. I think there is a lot of but not insurmoutable work to get to well detailed engine compartment. Its too bad that Audi is so secretative about the engine installation at this point. Perhaps more information will free up once a next generation car appears. We can only hope! |
