Braided Fuel Lines

Hey all;
I'm looking ahead into the future and decided that upgrading parts of my fuel system may be good to do, and look good too. Plus I want to get a fuel pressure gauge up in there too. So I want to run braided line from the fuel filter to the fuel rail. What size tubing and fittings am I looking for? I have no idea with this. Thanks.

I ran a 6-AN line for my return line. You could either go with 6-AN or 4-AN. Then you will need the fittings, stock line coming off the fuel filter is 6-AN so get a gauge adapter fitting then screw your fuel line into that, not sure what fittings you will need to connect it to the fuel rail. Is your filter on the firewall?

The fitting on the filter is a parallel thread metric thread IIRC. M14x1.5 perhaps. It can be found searching various forums. Go from that to a gauge adapter, then to a ~2 foot length of hose (I like the black nylon braided hose, earl's prolite 350 or something like that) with a 90 degree and 45 degree hose end (typically, depends on your personal choice for hose routing), to a 6an fuel rail adapter available from vendors like SBR for about 25 bucks.

The process for the return line is very similar when you decide to go to a AFPR. Rail adapter to some hose with ends to the reg. For the run all the way back to the tank (worth upgrading on 2Gs and EVOs, it does limit your return fuel flow) don't waste your money on expensive braided line. Pick up a 5 dollar 5 foot length of 3/8ths brake line and some 3/8ths rubber hose to connect it at each end to your AFPR and your tank/pump housing.

Does anyone know where I can find a fitting for a N/T that fits into the fuel rail. Just seeing them for the 4g63. Any ideas? Or is it the same size?

Actually I'm thinking since they're both a 6an at the fuel rail, that its not going to make a difference right? Should still snap right in no matter what?

Ok so I'm confused and I hope someone can help me here. All I need to rehose is going from the fuel filter (on the firewall) to the rail. I've found the fuel rail adapter and I'm going with -6an hose. Do I need male-male adapters for each connection, like from the filter to the fitting? I want to get rid of that banjo bolt on the filter and go to a T with the gauge on it (IIRC 3/8 thread) and then to the rail. What all do I need?

Your going to need a male fitting to come out the filter, Im guessing something like a 3/8 to 6-an. I found this fitting on Jegs.com. Im still not real sure if I have this pictured right but I think this fitting is what you need. Part # 555-110524. Then just get the hose and fitting for it and connect it to the fuel rail.

Honeslty I don't see where that piece would fit in to play. I'll take a pic of my setup when I rip it out. Basically I went to menards, bought a T-fitting and 2 hose connectors. Cut the fuel line in 2 pieces, teflon taped all threads and threw it all together with clamps then. I don't see why it's leaking.

But what I was thinking with the fittings was a male to male adaptor off the filter -> 90 degree swivel -> Hose -> T -> Hose -> Rail adaptor.

What kind of hose are you using? I was thinking you were going to use braided fuel line with 6-an fittings.

Here how I was thinking of it.
Filter > 3/8" to 6-an adapter w/ 1/8" gauge fitting > 6-an female fitting > SS hose > 6-an fitting > rail adapter
