question 4u gear heads
i have a 94 c1500 350/4l60e. im planning over the next while to do the intake, cam, heads, ported tbi, chip, etc. i hope to be in the neighborhood of 350-400hp. my question- is this too much power to be making with a 2 bolt main block? also, would the 4l60e handle this power? btw, its a 3.42 rearend

Re: question 4u gear heads
My buddy's 93 z28 puts down close to 450 rwhp on an LT1(2 bolt) converted to a 383 and a healthy shot of nitrous. It is a stock, original, 700R4 with a B&M shift kit. However, 350-400 hp might be a stretch on a TBI that makes 210 or so stock without increasing displacement. But, doing what you mentioned should give it a nice boost.

Re: question 4u gear heads
yeah, no problems.
my neighbor had a malibu that put down 400-something rwHP. from a 2-bolt block with a TH350 and B&M shifter and kit.

Re: question 4u gear heads
thanks guys i guess the 2bolt block is capable of standing up to alot more than i thought. i do agree that 400hp is wishful thinking with TBI, but id be happy with anything over 300.

Re: question 4u gear heads
A 2 bolt is fine for most aps.Just not high compression pistons and blowers. And I agree 400 might be a long shot!
