Cause i dont really know lol. And im buying this for college.

The sum up differences....
Ok the GT comes with the 3.5L V6 (180+ HP) Engine is based on the 3.4L engine featured in many other GM vehicles. this is engine is prone to the same Intake manifold leaks as it's counter parts. The 3.5L only comes in a 4 speed automatic trans with tap shift. The GT comes with less standard options compared to the GTP.
The GTP Comes with the 3.9L V6 (250+ HP) The trans comes with either the 4 speed auto with tap shift or the 6 speed manual. The GTP comes with some more standard features... but some are still optional on the 06's like side airbags, leather, on star, adjustable pedals.... etc.
For the price an 06 gtp with only 15k... is a very very good price. when i bought mine it had about 29K on it and they were asking $23,000 for it. Of course I got the price down to a respectable $18K... plus some other incentives.
The only things I would watch out for.. Stay away from the 3.5L engine... it's a good engine will last you a long time , but you need to keep an eye on it at times. Coupe models tend to have bad sunroof drains causing leaks into the car ( I believe there has been a recall on this...) the only other thing I've seen is some people needing to replace the tie-rod ends on the GTP model... but these are people that abuse the car more as well. Otherwise they are very good cars. I haven't seen to many problems from them otherwise so far.
