Injector difference HELP!
I used to have a GT3076R with FIC 850cc injectors. Those injectors were perfect for that turbo. I have currently upgrading for a PTE 6152SP, SBR FMIC, SBR exhaust manifold, new 02 housing, and downpipe. I was told that if I stay with the 850cc injectors then I will not be able to run my turbo to its full capacity. I was thinking of upgrading to some 1000cc injectors. Can anyone enlighten me on the difference 1000cc injectors would do compared to my current 850s....Is it worth changing them?
Thanks

Re: Injector difference HELP!
Might want to go ahead and put some bigger ones in there just to be safe. You have dsmlink so might as well go big on the injectors and not have to worry about them ever again. You dont want your injectors to limiting factor to your power output.

Re: Injector difference HELP!
Well, if you are going to run out of fuel with the 850's then you kinda have to upgrade and there are charts around that can tell you what airflow numbers a certain injector size will allow for. Remember, you want to keep IDC's below 85% if at all possible. If the 1000's are too small, FIC makes 1150's and 1600's as well. I would venture a guess that the 1000's should be fine, but if not then if it were me, I would just jump to the 1600's.

Re: Injector difference HELP!
I can't keep up with these friggin turbos names that keep multiplying by the day, but I'm assuming that's the wheel from the GT3582, and in that case, 950s are much more appropriate. 850s will limit you to about 60 lbs/min.

Re: Injector difference HELP!
If i go above 1000cc injectors, won't i have to be running EMS? DSMlink doesnt do well above 1000cc injectors or so I was reading....

Re: Injector difference HELP!
I have heard of people having a tough time with 1600's but at the same time I have heard of people being just fine with them. Any idea how much air the turbo flows?
