Just bought a "mini-me" swap

My d16a6 is going to crap. It pukes oil, the syncros in my tranny are wasted, it burnes oil, and (this doesnt relate to the engine) my right cv is busted. So I decided to look for a new engine. As soon as I start looking I find a d16a6 with a Z6 head on it. I look at the location of the seller and, what do you know, it's like an hour away from me. I call him and went and looked at it yesterday. He wanted 600 for it, and it came with the d16a6 w/ Z6 head already on it (which has new valves, retainers, and springs), the original d16a6 head with 90k on it, a '90 Si tranny with no grinds and a new clutch, the knuckles, hubs, axles, and a DC sports ceramic header. Before I even tried to Jew him down I said "So, you're asking 600 right?" and he said "Yeah, I won't take any less than 500." I was like "Ok, I can give you 5"

Anyway, I'm giong to pick it up next weekend. The reason I'm trying to get my car back in good shape is because I'm planning on selling it so I can get a 300zx TT. I don't want to have to sell it, but I can't afford both. I'm just looking for some sort of sports car. when I get an actual career then one day I'll get another hatch and make it my project, but for now... I'm craving the RWD and boost of the 300zx. When I sale my hatch then I'll post an add on here in case any of you guys are interested.

not to rain on your parade but...did you ask why they were selling it?

Why not just get a d16z6 for that money!? The mini-me still isn't going to have the HP of the d16z6....

It's hard to find stuff for sale around here and after the cost of shipping and everything it would end up being more. I need it soon, and 500 bux isn't bad.

Oh, and he is selling it because he wasn't satisfied with the performance and went b16a turbo. He isn't doing anything with the engine, and decided to get rid of it to help defray the cost of the turbo kit.

I wasn't really doing it for performance purposes, I know that it will only produce around 115hp. I really bought it because it has axles that are 10k old (mine are bad), it has a clutch with around 12k (mine is starting to slip), it has a new timing belt (mine is 80k old), it doesn't have a leaky main seal (mine leaks bad, and would cost like 300 bux to replace). I know what you guys are saying, but I'm just doing this so I can sell it. No one is going to want to buy my car with the following problems, at least no one around here.

My car has 152k on it with the following
-16inch katana c7s. Tires have about 70% tread
-custom mendrel bent 2-1/4 exhaust from cat back
-tokico blue shocks/struts, with H&R sport springs 1.5in
-panasonic cd player (don't know model) w/ alpine 6-1/2s in front and kenwood 4"s in the back
-paintjob that is about a year old. Someone hit my rear quarter panel and I got it fixed and just repainted the whole car.
-the engine that I just bought
-brembo rotors w/ axxis pads
-new brake master cylinder
-new radiator

THe still existing problems (after swap) My friend broke off my horn cover and it is glued on, there are screw holes on top of door panels where some gay tweeters used to be, the tip on the exhaust is starting to get rust speckles on it, and there is a small hole in one headlight from a rock hitting it. I can't think of anything else. Do you think I could get 4000 out of it?
