COMPLETE: Dale Sr's "What If" Ride

Here's a little something I put together watching "Dale" the other night. This is what I think Dale Sr's car would look like today if he hadn't died. I did something similar to this a few years ago, but I wasn't happy with my paintwork..... so I cut the body off the chassis and replaced it with what you see here.

The paint is Tamiya black & silver topped with Transtar urethane. The decals are mainly from BSR with a few odds and ends to make the car look more current. The exhaust dump on the right side was made from a spare hood hinge I had lying around.

Congrats! You've done an excellent job. What a great What if car and tribute. That CMT movie was awesome.
I'm really liking it.

"Something I put together watching Dale the other night"...This is amazing and you indicating you didnīt need too much time for it makes even more unbelieveable. Great work and a nice shiny paint job you achieved.

Most of my NASCAR builds are curbside.... the engine is in them, but not detailed out. I really enjoy trying to make the car look as close as possible to the real thing on the outside.

I am working on an "Extreme Build" similar to what DaveT & Clay Kemp do so beautifully. I'll have to post my progress in WIP section when I get a spare minute.

Thanks for all the great compliments guys!!
