Halloween Fans?

Hey, to tell you the truth, I never watched a Halloween movie all the way through, but the name Michael Myers is synonomous with Death and the theme song is hardcore, so I'm finally going to start watching the movies...but there's what...6 of them? Should I really start all the way at the beginning?

Re: Halloween Fans?

The first Halloween is damn scary. A must see. Rob Zombie just did a remake. Totally unecessary but looks creepy so I'll watch it.

I thought that was coming out in '08...

Anyway, there are actually eight not counting Rob Zombie's version:

Halloween
Halloween II
Halloween III
Halloween IV
Halloween V
Halloween VI
Halloween H20
Halloween Resurrection

Halloween III sucks because it dosen't actually have Michael Myers in it and from what I've seen so far, Halloween IV is the best.

Re: Halloween Fans?

I've just been told to watch 1 and 2 together as one movie.

Re: Halloween Fans?

Just watched the first movie, now taking a breather before I go into the second. That was crazy, he gets killed, and the next second he's standing up and walking...crazy!! Oh and very good fan service, compliments of the 'high school' actresses.

EDIT- Watched the second, better then the first, but IF I hadn't seen the first I wouldn't know what was going on. Only a few people die in the first movie, while the second is a slaughterhouse. Mad bodies. The old doctor that always carries a gun is so funny, "what do you guys usually do? fire a warning shot?" *shoots out window and the car spins around*

So now I'm wondering, Is Michael a real monster, undead, or just a human? Tell me which movie would explain this, or try to.

Re: Halloween Fans?

Michael Myers will never die! Bwuhahaha! Seriously, I'm kinda up in the air about Zombies remake. But House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects were pretty good for comtemporary horror flicks. So, I'm gonna go see Halloween. The concept of the movies is so simple...yet so bad ass! I haven't watched them all, all the way through..I plan on buying them all though.

Re: Halloween Fans?

DAMNIT TO HELL!!! Zombie ruined any chance of good sequels. Rob Zombie's Halloween was a very well made movie...but how you ask that he ruined any chances of a good sequel? He compiled about 4 or 5 Halloweens together, Michael is not very invincible, which drew me to his movies, and all the characters are wrong. If Zombie had just stayed true to the first and second movie, it would have been better.

(spoilers) he captures Lori and doesn't kill her first, moreso he takes off his mask...gee, wasn't that supposed to happen in the 6th movie with the little girl??? Zombie ruined it, I'd watch the old movies over this anyday.
