2000 Grit Sand paper

I went to my hobby shop today, and they didn't carry any . Can someone send me some in an envelope? Like a medium sized piece or so? If so, send me a PM or post that you'll send me one, and ill give you my address. That would be great help. I'll send a few bucks if preferred.

They ship fast, unfortunately it's probably a $5.75 shipping and handling fee (ah, if they only sold kits!) unless you can work out a deal with them otherwise.

Don`t they have any at the auto parts store near you? How about the department stores? I guess i take for granted that I can stop at the local Wal Mart/Pep Boys/AutoZone and pick this stuff up.

Hang on! You might want to consider getting a polishing kit. It contains Micro Mesh sanding sheets that are more durable and comfortable to use than sand paper. I'm sure Micro Mark sells them too. Each sheet has a number on the back, and this is what they mean:

2400=800 grit
3200=1200 grit
3600=1350 grit
4000=1500 grit
6000=2000 grit
8000=2500 grit
12000=sub micron

A polishing kit usually includes 2300 thru 12000 sheet. Or you can by them more economically at Micro-Surface.com

Go to wal-mart or an auto-chain store and look near the car waxes/polishes. Look for the 3m packages. They have a range from 1000 grit to 3000grit for around 5 bucks for 4 sheets. They are wet/dry sandpaper and are VERY durable.

Or turn to http://www.detailmaster.com for complete polishing abrasives.
Also, some nail files at a cosmetic section of a drag store or supermarket are useful, too.
