gas pedal wont do anything.....
i have a 2004 chevy 1500 4x4....it starts up an just idles...i can push the gas pedal clear to the floor an it wont do a thing.....on the information center it displays reduced engine power....an it will not move..can someone please help me??

You may want to check the wire to the TB and trace it back to the PCM to verify it is not broken, you may also want to verify the fuse is not blown as well. Also check to make sure the air intake hose to the TB is tight. If the hose is loose and sucking in air it will think the MAF sensor is bad. If those are ok, then try disconnecting the negative battery cable for at least 15 mins?
The 03's and up are "drive by wire", which means that there is no cable to the throttle body. When you press on the pedal it sends the infomation to the computer and the computer will determine how much throttle to engage

well i forgot to add that the truck was wrecked an i started tearing it down an at first it drove fine.I drove it up on the trailer an off,then drove it around the yard an stuff a few times.then after that i got to start workin on it again after a few months an i starts jus dosnt take any fuel....its jus idles real high....i'm tryin to get this fixed so i can drive it in the garage so i finish workin on it....well thanks
