removed the side molding today!
to i was just watching tv today and saw some fishing line on the table and decided to take off my side strips, well i got them off and removed to goo and was left with a couple of bubbles in the paint that were under the strips that flaked off on the driver side and a huge strip of paint about 5 inches long and .5 inches wide that flaked off on the passenger side. so i got the duplicolor repair kit with the putty and primer and some paint that matches the car. i got the small bubbles fixed and will clear coat tomorrow but the big one is giving me some problems.
any tips for getting it fixed??? i have it filled with putty and sanded down, then i primed it, and lastly i layed a nice coat of paint down and im just waiting till tomorrow to sand and clear coat but what is the best way to get the paint smooth and uniform??? im going to wet sand it with 2000 grit sand paper but are there any tricks? ill get pics up tomorrow
