I just wanted to say thank you for your help, even though it was inadvertant. A quick little story. I bought a '95 Blazer on Friday. It really ran and sounded good. Then, on Tues. all that came to an abrupt halt. The SES light came on, then it stalled at the next red light, and needless to say, I was PISSED! I got home and looked under the hood for anything obvious. Nothing. I don't know a whole lot about cars, but I am computer savvy. So I went online, and started searching. I came across this sight, and stayed on and read until after midnight. Today, on the way to work, it idled very poorly, and nearly stalled every time I came to a stop. After work, I went to Advanced Auto Parts, and scanned the Blazer looking at the trouble codes, and sure enough, it was a P1406, the EGR Valve. I figured that was what it was from everything I read, so I was a little relieved. I bought an EGR Valve Gasked by Tomco, with the screen in it, some adhesive, and a can of carb. cleaner. I followed the Blaze Brothers advice, and removed the EGR, and a piece of carbon the size of a pea fell out! After getting everything back together, she is running great again! I don't know what I would have done had it not been for this forum, and the great people on it, other than spend a lot of time and money, and increase my stress level ten fold! Thanks again to everyone, esp. Blazee and BlazerLT. You are a credit to the human race! I will visit this site often, and would love to help anyone who has a problem with the EGR Valve, as this is the one thing I now have some experience with! Thanks again!

Stick around. This site has tons of info and directions on how to do almost anything with your Blazer. Believe me, you're gonna have problems and need repairs on your Blazer. We all do.
