99' engine problems

I have a 99 windstar 3.0 fuel injected. I started the van today and water is coming out of the resonator i believe, and the exhaust is blowing white smoke! The idle is really rough and i am not sure what is going on.

Re: 99' engine problems

Don't run the engine if its possible that coolant is going thru the engine. Its possible you only have a broken intake gasket, small repair ... but if coolant gets to the crankcase or puddles on top of a piston, it will be big trouble.

Re: 99' engine problems

I have a major coolant leak. When i fill up the resevoir it is drained in about 30 seconds. And also the resevoir is filled with thick orange stuff, that appears to be rust and coolant mixed. When the engine is running these problems exist

Take a look to your engine oil dipstick, maybe coolant reach the oil pan too.
