Removing brake disc

Hi,
I'm having a problem removing the front brake disc from my 2000 Durango. I've remove the pads and the thin metal lock washers that were on the lugs. The disc should come right off. I've soaked it in WD-40 and beat on it with a hammer (with a block of wood) and the disc won't budge. Any ideas on how I can get this thing off?

Re: Removing brake disc

Sometime I have had to break them to get them off. Some are pressed on, some are rusted on and some just fall off. Try heating the rotor with a torch.

Re: Removing brake disc

Try getting a can of PB penetrant ($5) and a rubber mallet ($22)...
Spray any area of the disc you can get to with the PB and let it set for as long as possible. I only let it sit for 10 minutes and gave it one good whack with the mallet... Popped right off!

Re: Removing brake disc

I finally got them off! 1.5 hours for the driver side and 3 hours on passenger side. I had to use a combination of a big gear puller and hitting with a hammer but they finally came off. I've never had that much problem getting rotors off. They were just seriously rusted on the inside. Anyway, thanks for the input. Oh, and it is a 4x4.
