Desperately seeking a model still!! Please help! (and hooray for the faster server!)

I posted a while back that I was looking for Revell`s `87 1/16 Firebird GTA. I still havent been able to find one. I was on ebay, and the only one on there is already up to $71 with a day left for bidding!!!! It seems like everything on that site is going for a fortune. I mean, this model isn`t *that* rare. I remember seeing them everywhere just 10 years ago or so. Does anyone have any sites that sell discontinued kits and have a large selection? Is there any message board with model classifieds? I am starting to get desperate since I am running out of time.
Did anyone have this kit, or parts from it, and want to get rid of them? I only need some body parts since I have parts from a kit I built a few years back.

On another note, the board seems alot faster lately, even with more visitors. Did we upgrade?

Yeah, it really blazes straight to the "server is busy page" most times I've tried to reach it today.

Haven't seen those big scale models in a while, but haven't been looking for them either. You might try Hobby Heaven

Joey,
Is that 46.5 NZ$ or is 46.5 US$?
If it is NZ$ don't seem that bad to me.....

Hawk,
You could also try www.modelexpress.net for that kit, I have heard they carry a lot of harder to get stuff, of even www.greatmodels.com or www.plastic-models.com.
I can't see HLJ having any Revell kits on their shelves.

As soon as I posted that message, I tried to reload the main forum page and got the "web site not responding" message. Figures.
Thanks for the help. I`m going to check all those sites.

The cost is in NEW ZEALAND DOLLARS.
$46.50NZD = $23.05USD...Does that sound about right for what you would pay in USA ??

Buy an open kit if you find one, they were VERY prone to warpage! The lit has opening doors and hatch and the plastic just wasn't strong enough to support the weight with such thin a-pillars, roof, and hatch area. The kit I bought had the area around the doors severely "tucked-in" and the wheels were terribly innacurate! BEWARE!!
How's the 1/12 Camaro coming?? We need pics!
