01 intermittent wipe blade operation
When snowing, icing, etc. my wiper blades "freeze up!" (i.e., stop working). Took to dealer and was unable to find problem. My first thought was a computer malfunction of some sort, but was not able to confirm. Ideas?

Re: 01 intermittent wipe blade operation
There was a recall / tsb on the Wiper motor, I have no idea what the text of the tsb is, I can't find any more reference other than the TSB - RECALL Title
01S24 AUG 01 Recall - Defective Wiper Motor Switch/Gear Cover Maybe you'll have better luck getting more on that one... Other than that, I'm of no friggin help on this one.

Re: 01 intermittent wipe blade operation
I stopped taking cars to the dealer for that reason. Can't verify the problem, ya right. It wil be acting up as soon as it's off the lot. Those dealer guys should have the info in the TSB, give them that number and see what they say.

Re: 01 intermittent wipe blade operation
There is a good possibility that your problem is a binding wipe transmission. You will need to remove the cowling where the motor is to get to it to inspect.
