Leak under dash

We have a 1994 Jeep Cherokee, there apperas to be a leak under the dash that allows water to run over the electrical cables when it rains. We cannot take the windscreen wipers off, because we dont know how! would appreciate any advise in relation to removing wipers or tracking this leak! thanks

Re: Leak under dash

To remove the wipers get a flat head screw driver and put it on the side of the wiper where the little tab is sticking out and push the tab away from the wiper then wiggle it off. After you have that off you can remove the wiper cowl to get a better look at things under there. Sounds like the weatherseal around the windshield is possibly bad or a seal down inside the cowl area on the driverside as the passenger side doesn't have an opening under it. Also you can check to make sure that on the driver side that the water is draining out of the opening under the cowl like it should as the drain hole might be a little clogged allowing the water to back up and seep in some.

Re: Leak under dash

My experience indicates the weatherseal for the windshield.
