My FairladyZ

I bought an '06 350z so now I can put that Tamiya model kit to good use
She is chrome silver and I have already added a few (minor) mods to it!

S2k antenna, Nismo Exhaust and potentially some Volk CE28N or SF Challenges.

Not sure about replicating the exhaust, maybe just add "nismo" decals to the kit-supplied tips?

I will use heated plastic sprue for the antenna
Mock-up of 19" CE28Ns

Some TE37s for fun:

Re: My FairladyZ

I have those same TE37's on mine. I think they fit the car well even if they are kind of played out now.

Re: My FairladyZ

Resumed work on the Z...

Interior:

Chassis: I'm trying to duplicate the overspray/undercoat. Can't beleive the exhaust/suspension is completely molded in!

Looking good! Both the 1:1 and 1:24 Too bad there aren't a whole lot of mods for you to recreate - no one can do that quite like you can. Would you like the antenna out of an S2000 kit? I tend not to use them, for some reason.

Hey Will! Yup I like the Z plain and simple. No silly body kits/wings. Just suspension and engine mods.
I'll take the S2k kit antenna, didn't think about that!

Re: My FairladyZ

I need help with 2 things:
1) Where can I find a "Nismo" decal to fit on the exhaust tips? It doesn't have to be white:

2) How are folks duplicating the side "Z" emblem? The metal transfer is flat but the 1:1 has some dimension to it like a hemisphere:

Put a blob of flat black on, wait for it to dry then put the metal transfer on?

Re: My FairladyZ

for the z emblem on the side. put the metal transfer on, then use a brush to fill in the black areas, and wipe off the excess off the metal.

Re: My FairladyZ

I think the new Aoshima kit coming soon has the correct 5 spoke wheels. Probably has a better chassis as well.

Hobbylink to the rescue:

The hood is separate, so is the luggage compartment. The newer hood could easily be coming later, and perhaps a convertible?
