hifonics brutus bxi 2006d and system questions
hi, my friend just got 2 dual voice coil 4 ohm kicker 15''(1000max-500rms) and a hifonics brutus bxi 2006d amp. the amp says it is a 1 channel...but why does it have 4 connections? it has two positive and two negative connections. we are trying to wire them to 1 ohm...parallel/parallel......right? when we hook one of them up it hits really hard, but when we stick the other speaker on it gets quiet and they dont do shit......can someone please help us out! oh one more question...is that amp really 2000 watts rms?

Re: hifonics brutus bxi 2006d and system questions
it has two sets of connections for flexibility .... you must be hooking something up wrong if it works with just one sub.

Re: hifonics brutus bxi 2006d and system questions
Have you tried wiring both subs in a parallel configuration to get the impedance down to 1 ohm and then connecting it to 1 set of the outputs. That amp is rated at 2000w at 1 ohm RMS. As to why there's two sets of outputs not sure about that.
