Question Problems with 1989 Mazda 929. please help :(

Hey! I'm fairly new to cars.. I got this one in november last year.. and since then i have had so many problems with it!

#1. It has a flat spot.. when i put my foot on the accelerator, It goes really really slow.. and revs soooo much!

#2. After I stop at traffic lights, and have to go again, my car doesn not want to go anywhere! I put my foot down and again it revs soooo much ! it goes to that 3000 rpm and i look at the speed and it's only doing about 40km/h! after a while, it finally speeds up... possibly a transmission thing???

#3. It's terrible on fuel! are all 929s bad on fuel... i put $20 worth of petrol in it, and it gets me about 35kms and that's it!

#4. WHere does all my petrol go??? when my car is half full..and i park it, and when i start it again.. it says i only have 1/4! how can that be??

#5. when i have to reverse.. it won't move if i tap the accelerator... i have to put put my foot down on it hard...

are these common probs with 929s??
any advice on what i should do to fix this??? Thanks in advance!

Pull the dipstick on the transmission if it smells burnt a rebuild is in order.
I would get a price on a good used transmission.
These cars are very expensive to buy parts for.
