HKS Springs
Anyone have the HKS Springs on a P10?? Well, I do and I was wondering if the rear is higher than the front.
Also what really sux is, the right side of the car is slightly lower than the left!!! U can tell by measuring the gap between the wheel well and the tire while the car is on a level surface. If someone is in the driver side seat (left) the car seems even...maybe they did this for a reason b/c the driver is always in the car?? |

About the left side being higher than the right, I doubt thats part of the spring design...
How would you know which spring goes on the right or left? If there's a difference in height from left to right it may be because something wasnt seated properly during reassembly. Or maybe your struts are starting to go... could be a few things... As for the rear being higher, wouldnt know. Best bet is to check the specs for the front and rear and compare them to your car. |

Good point about the L/R. I think the back is higher to compensate for people sitting in the back seat and/or a big load in the trunk. Who knows..........

HKS Springs
They came in HKS boxes and had HKS stickers on them. A year after I put the springs in, I put KYB AGXs in. I made sure the springs were seated properly but the right side still sagged slightly. Another thing is that it does not help that I park in the street which is curved to the right for water drainage. When the car is parked in the street, the unevenness of the R/L side is even more pronounced...very strange.

Ride quality
The ride is really rough but handels really well. You feel every bump. I think it is the combo of the springs, KYB AGX shocks, and the 17" rims with 205/40 size tire that makes the ride so harsh.

Ground Control
If I could go back, I would have bought the Ground Control. You can adjust to any ride height you want. I priced them once and I think they were like $500 which is why I went with the HKS for half the price.
No matter what springs you get, when you drop a car more than 1/2 inch you are going to have a stiffer ride. I have to say the KYB's are excellent though. |

yeh, had the same thing happen when I bought some H&R oem to Neuspeed springs for my Prelude a few years back. one side was higher than the other by about 13mm...hated it. so got the TEIN HA's in there.
the nose dive is probably there to compensate for extra weight you might put in the car. but for FF cars, a little nose dive is a good thing. anyway, I stopped buying those lowering springs. I don't think the manufacture matches them for spring rate.
