90 rx7 stutters at half to wide open

Hi ya'll. I got a pal who is the one owner of a 90 RX7 non turbo 13B with M/T & 46k. he had a new fuel pump installed 6 months ago, it needed a new alt. and was stuttering at half to wide open throttle. check engine light gave a bad tps code. I replaced the alt. & tps as well as all the vacuum lines, no improvment. one weird thing tho, he had a guy, cant remember who, that told him to use a pair of needle nose vise grips to pich down but not off, the fuel line feeding from the pulsation dampener to the secondary fuel rail opposite the preasure regulator. it helped but did not eliminate the problem. any ideas? Am about to get gas all over my hands checkin the line preasure & regulator.

I've never heard of that trick before.

Make sure that you installed the TPS inthe correct direction. Meaning when installing before you tighten it down make sure the throttle blades move freely without much extra drag.

the rex has a series 5 motor that has a set of butter fly valves that might be sticking check the diaframs and make sure that they are opening.
also dont pinch the fuel because it can cause fuel starvation and eat your seals.
also check your fuel injectors for resistance it should be between 4-5 ohms.
