2004 cts tire pressure

I own a 2004 cts with 255/R17 tires the door label recommends 30 psi front/rear. This seems low to me.
Any recommendations?

Re: 2004 cts tire pressure

My 04 with 16 inch wheels also calls for 30 PSI. I like to run 32 to 33.

Kind of a personal preference thing I guess.

Re: 2004 cts tire pressure

The more you run the better gas mileage you will get, and it can be significant...........but to much and you can bounce of the road in a bumpy curve or wear the tire in the middle.........I run about 38# they have a range you can run them....more air more sporty less air more comfortable....
