I'm trying to figure out what is making the noise on my ciera. When I'm driving straight or turning right there is no noise or vibration, it only happens when I turn the wheel left of center I start hearing a groaning noise. Power steering fluid is topped off, tires are very good. I'm thinking it could be the wheel hub assembly bearing going bad or could it be the cv joint. The car makes no clunking noises so I'm leaning more towards the bearing starting to fail. Help !!

Re: 92 cutlass ciera groaning in left front when turning left
Welcome to AF, sounds like the bearing, try seeing if that wheel has any play in the hub when off the ground

I jacked the car up and there isn't any play in the hub that I can feel when moving the tire side to side and up and down.

It could still be the bearing.
