1991 Lumina died

So I drove my 1991 Lumina to Home depot and when I came back out it wouldn't start. It is turning over but it is not starting. I tried sppraying starting fluid in the carb and it still would not start. I am wondering what my next step would be. How do I check to see if it is getting a spark? and why would it just die all of a sudden? it had been running great. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to AF. No " magic bullet" here. Possible issues here are random, this is not really fixable in the HD parking lot. I would say there is no spark, a scan would look at cranking rpms, the most common causes of this problem are the crank sensor, ign module or wiring between them, also check all the fuses.

all chevy luminas have mulitiport fuel injection up until i believe 95 or 96 when they changed the body style, then it became single port fuel injection, there hasnt been any newer carborated vehicles since around 87, which i believe the last one was a ford truck, i cant remember the make....
