Transmission
I know you guys will say look it up your self but i could not find what i was looking for and i am short on time.
I have a 98 Eclipse GS N/T and i was upgrading my axles to hold 400 hp but dont know what the gears can take. I was told around 400 to 450 for the gears and 300 for the axles is this correct. |

Re: Transmission
I'm not sure of what the question is. Are you asking how much hp the stock tranny could take? Tranny will take a lot. It's the clutch that you need to worry about first.
Also, why are you doing that? You plan on hitting 400hp+ on that thing?

Re: Transmission
Lol i wish my RS was 400 HP , that would be sweet
I should get about 350 after I do this head/turbo/piston get up I am compliling. The stock tranny can handle a lot LOT if its a manual , if auto = eh..good luck lol...you should look into clutch components first.but the cv's and what not should take about 250 , depending on how you plan to romp them.
