question about the header?

hey guys, with my old civic the cat was on the exhaust manifold. it looks like the spec is the same way. am i right? will a header do away completely with the cat? just stuff i'm trying to clear up before i buy it.

puting a header on a new 2000+ sentra means you remove the close coupled cat /which is on the exhaust manifold. there is still another cat after wards. the cacoon
