Tamiya 1998 JGTC Mugen NSX
Hey guys. I just got this in the mail today. Got it for $10. Good thing is that it's a well made kit and got it at a great bargain. Bad thing about it, decals were missing when I opened it. So I only have decals for the tires and the windows. So, I've decided to make it into a street version.
![]() More pictures coming soon. I'm currently building four models at the same time.

Will look awesome as street version, but also makes me wonder why you didn't post this in the WIP Street section, lol.

Re: Tamiya 1998 JGTC Mugen NSX
Haha, that's because I changed my mind from making it into a race car version once I found out there was no decals for the car, which really disappointed me.

Re: Tamiya 1998 JGTC Mugen NSX
Studio 27 has decals for the 1999 Raybrig sponsored JGTC NSX, so perhaps there's a chance to save this as a racing build?

Re: Tamiya 1998 JGTC Mugen NSX
Thanks for the link. I'll think about it. Not much of a fan of the Raybrig stickers.

Re: Tamiya 1998 JGTC Mugen NSX
Looking forward to seeing how this progresses...I plan to do a street conversion one day but don't yet feel comfortable enough to do it. Will be interesting to see how yours develops.

Re: Tamiya 1998 JGTC Mugen NSX
Very cool in yellow! Black rims with silver details?
I love this car...actually it was the kit that made me quit and come back again lol! May I ask you something? I´ll try to make it clear but my english is somewhat poor...will you fill the gap where the front fenders meets the little piece that runs from the bonnet to the sideskirts? If you have the time check my WIP...that little piece is driving me nuts ![]() ![]() ![]() From the little reference pictures I´ve managed to find on the internet so far it looks like there is no gap, the fender should be one piece? Great work so far, I will be following this closely, and for the amazing coincidence, I had to buy a new one since I screwed the one in the picture, and it just arrived! Best regards! Luiz

Re: Tamiya 1998 JGTC Mugen NSX
Actually, I'm going to paint the rims green.

Re: Tamiya 1998 JGTC Mugen NSX
Can the mod or a admin close this thread please since it's no longer a motorsport related build?
