Front Rotor removal procedure
I know my front left ABS sensor is bad. I tried to pull it off, being 8 years old and rusted, it was tough, and I haven't succeeded yet.
I think if I pull off the rotor, I can pound it out. Can someone post a procdure for rotor removal? Does the front bearing have to be packed if I remove the rotor? Thanks? |

Re: Front Rotor removal procedure
Is it 2wd , 4wd what year , always clean bearings and races and repack when diassembiling bearing so you can check for wear plus the heat from the brakes can break down the grease . But you should be able to remove the caliper hub cover retaining nut and pull it off keeping every thing in order to put it back also may wan't to replace the inner seal. My suggestion is to grab a manual to help you though.

Re: Front Rotor removal procedure
I need an answer as well. Similar issue with my 99 Honda Passport. I striped it down as far as I could go with disconnecting the axles...what else needs to be done to remove the Rotor. The Haynes manual does not have any information pertaining to the front of a 4WD vehicle.
