Suspension Crunching?

Hey Tracker people!

Has anyone experience a crunching /suspension noise? I have an unusal sound that is coming from the front of the vehicle. It is an intermitent sound at starts and stops or travelling over speed bumps that sound almost like metal on matal crunching or popping. I have had the brakes, suspension and the entrie under carriage looked at the everything seems to be tight and in good shape. The Traker is 6 years old and I was thinking that this may be the original shocks creating this sound even though these appear to be in OK condition.

Any thoughts? or similar experiences may help me to locate and correct this issue.

Re: Suspension Crunching?

Chevy has a service bulletin on this. It pretty much says that tiny rocks are getting in between the inner and outer fender and have to be removed. The service bulletin shows how to do this by bending the inner fender in so they will fall out. Haven't tried it yet but my Tracker is making what sounds like the same noises.
