engine miss

I've got a 96 mustang with the 3.8. Out of the blue it started to miss. I changed plugs and wires and that fixed it, for a couple hours. Changed the pcv, and the air cleaner. Still no different. Any ideas? Thanks

compression test will tell you if it is a bad gasket...good luck..
