Tranny on '99 Ram 1500

I've been having problems with my truck bouncing between gears or not shifting at all. I had it scanned and was told that it was the master governor solenoid. I already called and got the price on the part, how difficult will it be for me to change that out myself?

Re: Tranny on '99 Ram 1500

i think i have the same problem as you the obd code was p1757 on mine and it saidgov press above 3 psi in gear with 0 mph. the dealer just told me it was the governor pressure sensor. He said it it right inside the pan and i remember seeing the wiring the last time i changed the fluid so I dont think it will be too hard to change.
